Editorial Review:
Album Description: The Prodigy, Invaders Must Die
Album Description: 2009 release, the fifth studio album by the acclaimed and controversial British Electronic act. As one of the most successful and respected Dance groups of recent times, this album sees the return of both Keith Flint and Maxim to the fold for their most exciting album to date. Included are collaborations with Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) and James Rushent (Does It Offend You Yeah). 11 tracks.

Snapping the break beat in half, Liam Howetts's latest Prodigy album tops the dance charts for sheer relentlessness. Track after track with it's pulsating rhythm, bass and drums from opening to closing track. Whether he is pissed off at the reaction to the anticipated follow-up to 'Fat of the Land' (which featured the most noticeable chart-topping tracks) of the album 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned' - which was received fairly poorly, or if he is just pissed off in general, one thing is for ... I've been listening to this album pretty much non stop for the past month. I havent heard album of substance since fat of the land from these guys- which might not say much because they've only had one real album if you take off EPs, singles, and compilation albums, but taken all of that into account instead of leaving it out, this album is more then refreshing. Definitely worth the money.

2009 graced us with Invaders Must Die, which is a classic-sounding Prodigy album with all original members returning. The title track is amazing and catchy, but "Take Me To The Hospital" stands out, as it manages to blend Liam Howlett's signature break beat sound with the fiery vocals of Keith Flint better than 1997's overrated single "Firestarter".

THESE GUYS ARE SOME OF THE BEST PRODUCERS IN MUSIC INDUSTRY...THEY NEVER PUT OUT ANY BAD TRACKS....I HAVE ALL THEIR ALBUMS BUT I THINK I'M MORE OF A HIP HOP FAN AS OPPOSSED TO TECHNO, BUT THEIR FAT OF THE LAND ALBUM BLWE MY MIND...THE BASS KICKED HARD ON EVERY TRACK AND I WAS IN MY CAR BOBBING MY HEAD FOR AN HOUR STRAIGHT....WHENEVER THESE GUYS TOUCH THE BOARDS THEY LACE EM WITH HEAT, THE BASS LINES PULL YOU IN ON EVERY TRACK. THIS ALBUM ROCKED

What has always attracted to me to "The Prodigy" is the way they put an edge on melody. Metallica quickly comes to mind as another group of artists who accomplish this. No track here, aside from the Omen Reprise, is soft. All but one push the body to move while remaining infectious in its melody. Having downloaded this months ago, I am surprised by how well it has aged. I continue to return to this album as workout music. Other electronic music that I have found fail to deliver in either edge or melody. ... Read More
